Bingkai Karya – After nearly a year without releasing a solo single, a deeply reflective chapter unfolds through “Sesaat,” the latest release by Malaysian singer songwriter Aina Abdul. Officially available on all digital streaming platforms, the song marks her long awaited return following “Imaji” (Deluxe Edition), released on October 25, 2024.
Produced by Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia in collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia, “Sesaat” is more than just a new single. It represents an intimate emotional journey shaped by a period of self reflection, while also symbolizing a cross border creative partnership that brings Aina’s music closer to audiences across Malaysia, Indonesia, and beyond.
Throughout the past year, Aina focused heavily on live performances, collaborative projects, and special appearances, including a duet with Fadhilah Intan. With “Sesaat,” she returns to the spotlight as a solo artist known for her courage in exploring emotional vulnerability and translating it into powerful, heartfelt vocals.
“Sesaat” tells a universal story of love that arrives briefly offering hope, only to leave deeper wounds behind. It captures the experience of believing that a new love can heal past heartbreak, only to realize that it was never meant to stay.
“This time, I truly wanted to give something different to my listeners,” Aina shares. “Even though I didn’t write this song, the melody and lyrics immediately resonated with my heart.”
The song was written by Indonesian songwriters Trakast, Fabio Asher, and Yafi Aria, with production handled by Yafi Aria and Rico Andre. For Aina, whose full name is Nurul Aina Abdul Ghani, “Sesaat” was not an easy journey but one worth every sacrifice.
“To bring this song to life, I traveled back and forth to Jakarta many times,” she explains. “It’s a story about repeated loss, but also about strength about rising again even when the pain deepens.”
Known for her vocal power and emotional storytelling, Aina sees “Sesaat” as the beginning of a new artistic era. After almost a year without a solo release, she describes this moment as deeply meaningful.
“I’m incredibly happy to finally share ‘Sesaat’ with everyone. Many people have asked when I would release a new solo song, and now the time has come. I hope listeners don’t just hear my voice, but feel my soul through this song.”
Beyond its standalone release, “Sesaat” has also been chosen as the main original soundtrack for the emotional drama series Jika Cinta Itu Buta, directed by Ucheefukada and Ain Shariff. The series stars Keith Foo, Uqasha Senrose, Trisha Ooi, and more, and premieres on October 6, 2025, airing weekdays on Astro Prima.
The official music video for “Sesaat” was released simultaneously on Aina Abdul’s official YouTube channel, featuring symbolic visuals that mirror the song’s emotional depth and invite viewers to fully experience its story.
