Bingkai Karya – After releasing three new singles since October 2025, Idgitaf officially unveils ‘Berusaha di Bawah Hujan’ as her second full-length album. Through this record, the singer-songwriter introduces a refreshing blend of country music elements fused beautifully with her signature joyful pop sound, as heard in tracks such as “Sedia Aku Sebelum Hujan” and “Mungkin di Depan Buram.”
Packaged like a continuous story across 12 songs, ‘Berusaha di Bawah Hujan’ reflects Gita’s personal reflections and musical exploration as she enters a new chapter in her life. She shared that creating this album helped her mature in the way she writes and views her work, giving her new perspectives while also making her more aware of her own emotional capacity and resilience in love.
“This album was born from the experience of falling in love, which felt so new to me that words alone weren’t enough to explain everything. That’s why I felt the need to express it through music. But behind that, there were challenges, differences, and the process of understanding one another that made me realize love is not only about happiness, but also about perseverance,” explained Gita.
“Therefore, ‘Berusaha di Bawah Hujan’ is structured as a journey through four emotional phases: discovering a healing kind of love, enjoying the happiness within it, facing conflicts and doubts, and eventually learning to accept and endure together through every kind of ‘hujan’ that comes.”
Produced between February 2025 and April 2026, ‘Berusaha di Bawah Hujan’ involved producers Enrico Octaviano, Lafa Pratomo, Michael Rodovan, Ricco, Rama Harto, and Luthfi Adianto. The album also features fellow musicians Hindia (Baskara Putra) on the song “Masih Ada Cahaya” and Dere on “Setengah Langit.”
“Masih Ada Cahaya” portrays the effort to understand a partner’s past experiences that shaped who they are today. Gita explained, “I wanted to have a song that represents me and my partner, as a man and a woman. In this song, it feels like I’m speaking to him and comforting him: ‘There is still light, even when it’s hard to reach.’”
Speaking about “Setengah Langit,” which she co-wrote with Dere, Gita shared, “This song feels like we’re speaking to ourselves as fellow women, acknowledging how we often define happiness based on standards set by other people.”
Following a series of intimate events with fans throughout March and April 2026 leading up to the album release, Idgitaf presents an immersive musical experience titled “Berusaha di Bawah Hujan (Immersive Album Experience)” at Teater Salihara, South Jakarta. The event is a collaboration between Idgitaf Musik and Katarsis Live, designed as an emotional and sensory journey for listeners by combining audio, visual, and spatial elements to create a deeper and more personal connection between Gita and her audience.
The event series consists of several main segments, including a listening session, acoustic performance, sound bath, and CD signing session. Each segment is carefully crafted to invite audiences into the narrative and emotions presented in Idgitaf’s latest album, while also celebrating her artistic journey.
Gita has long been recognized for songs that explore mental health and self-acceptance, especially through her debut album ‘Mengudara’ (2023). She was nominated at the 2025 Indonesian Film Festival in the category of Best Original Theme Song for “Berakhir di Aku” (OST Home Sweet Loan). Based on data from April 13, 2026, Gita is also one of Indonesia’s most-streamed female singers on digital music platforms.
Through ‘Berusaha di Bawah Hujan’, Gita expressed her hope that the album would be understood as a portrayal of an unfinished journey.
“This album tells the story of a journey, a work in progress. It’s not meant to provide answers, but rather to become a companion along the way. I want people to see that this album is about trying and persevering, and for listeners to relate to the many emotions within it; from happiness and sadness to frustration. I also hope this album can offer a glimpse into the journey I share with my partner,” she explained.
Released under Idgitaf Musik in collaboration with KithLabo, ‘Berusaha di Bawah Hujan’ was officially launched on May 15, 2026, across all digital streaming platforms.
