Bingkai Karya – Awdella, a singer from East Java, returns with a new pop-ballad single titled “Sia-Sia”. Unlike her previous songs that show strong vocals filled with tears and pain, “Sia-Sia” brings a different atmosphere—calm sadness, maturity, and acceptance.
“This time, I tried to express sadness in a softer way—not dramatic, but more about letting go and accepting. I wanted to sing in a simpler style, but still make people feel it,” Awdella shared in a written press release on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Sia-Sia was written by Dimas Wibisana from the duo BiancaDimas. Before the official release, a 30-second audio preview was already shared on TikTok.
The singer, who became popular with the hit “Tertawan Hati”, explained the meaning behind her new song. According to Awdella, “Sia-Sia” tells a story many people can relate to—about someone who waits for a long time, gives everything in a relationship, but in the end, must let go because their love was never truly returned.
“This song is about a feeling many of us have experienced: loving someone deeply, but being taken for granted. We give our all, but in the end, it feels like it was all for nothing. Because the other person just didn’t feel the same,” said Awdella.
Sia-Sia is designed to comfort listeners, with easy-listening music that fits any time and situation—whether you’ve been ghosted, stuck in a relationship that goes nowhere, or trying to move on.
“I hope this song represents the feelings of people who can relate, or at least becomes a song that can keep you company on regular days. I also hope many people will enjoy and appreciate it. Amen,” she added.
