Bingkai Karya– BINUS@Malang hosts BINUS Fun Carnival 2024, a fun and engaging event for students, college students, and the community. A highlight of the evening was painting Malangan masks, a fun and culturally significant pastime.
Mask painting is a tradition influenced by Topeng Malangan, an Indonesian cultural legacy with philosophical qualities. Each mask has a distinct tale. Malangan culture uses masks to represent human traits like courage, wisdom, and happiness, which are shown through joyful expressions. BINUS Fun Carnival 2024 allowed high school and college students to express their creativity and create magnificent creations that highlighted their individuality. The mask painting activity promoted cross-generational collaboration, allowing participants to explore local culture and express their creativity.
Bright colors, distinctive designs, and personal tales in the masks provided a fun and meaningful ambiance. The work showcases the diverse ideas and inventions of the younger generation, creating an unforgettable experience.

In addition to mask painting, BINUS Fun Carnival 2024 featured exciting events like Coswalk, Cosplay Competition, Live Sketch Furniture & Interior Photography, Live Podcast, TikTok Competition, Live Mural “Taone + Eats You,” Scavenger Hunt, Exhibit, and Workshop. Various student organization performances enhanced the evening. Binus Fun Carnival 2024 introduced BINUS @Malang as a campus that fosters creativity and innovation.
About The Event
The event introduced high schoolers to the lively campus. A vibrant campus climate fosters idea sharing and community collaboration. Collaboration between Visual Communication Design, Interior Design, Public Relations, and Communication Science resulted in a comprehensive, innovative, and inspiring event experience for all attendees.
