Blending Personal Experiences with Playful Inspiration, Bunga Reyza Releases Her Second Single “Nomor Satu”

Bingkai KaryaBunga Reyza is back with her second single, “Nomor Satu.” She wrote the song herself and worked with Lafa Pratomo to create it. Bunga shared that the song came about by chance when she was just relaxing in the studio.  “Honestly, the song came about by accident. I was just hanging out in the studio, casually picked up a guitar, and ended up creating this song. But I didn’t work on it alone. Lafa Pratomo contributed to the melody while I focused on the lyrics. The whole process was surprisingly quick, the song was done in just one day,” Bunga explains.

The idea for “Nomor Satu” was inspired by Bunga’s own romantic experience and a unique household item. The song talks about being a “backburner,” someone who thinks they are truly loved, but in reality, they are just used as a “temporary entertainment.” Bunga also got inspiration from her favorite spoon at home, which she always uses when eating. It made her think about how other spoons might feel if they were only used when the favorite one wasn’t available. This fun and quirky thought helped her tell the story in the song.

Bunga is happy with how smoothly the song came together. The lyrics and recording were completed in just one day, and everything went well. The only small change was to the lyrics in the bridge, but the rest of the song stayed true to her original writing.

As Bunga releases her second single under Sony Music, she mentioned that “Nomor Satu” has a different feel compared to “Wahai Tuan.” This time, the lyrics are more poetic but easier to understand. In “Wahai Tuan,” the message was deeper and required more thought. In “Nomor Satu,” the melody highlights her vocal range, especially with a high note at the end of the song. While her first song had more of a folk-pop style, this one leans more towards pop.

Bunga hopes the song will receive as much positive feedback. She wants people to enjoy it, relate to it, and interpret the song in their own way. Bunga looks forward to continuing to create heartfelt music in the future.“I hope this song is well-received, that many people like it, and that they understand the essence of the song. I also love it when listeners interpret the song through their own stories, even in ways I hadn’t thought of. I hope I can keep creating music from the heart in the future” Bunga Reyza concludes.
