Bingkai Karya – Trio KIM, consisting of Arsy Widianto, Rachel Rae, and Gusty Pratama, has released their third single called “Magnet.” This new song was launched under Universal Music Indonesia.
What makes this release special is that KIM collaborates with one of Indonesia’s top female singers, Marion Jola. This is also KIM’s first collaboration since they started their journey as a vocal group. Marion Jola shared her excitement about the project, saying, “When I heard the demo, I instantly fell in love with the song. The melody is so catchy, especially with the collaboration with KIM.”
The song “Magnet” was written by Arsy Widianto along with his father, Yovie Widianto, who is a well-known music maestro in Indonesia. The song brings a cheerful pop vibe with a groovy rhythm. It tells the story of a romantic relationship between two people who are supposed to keep it secret. Arsy explains, “The story is about two people who like each other, but they know they can’t be together. Even though they keep thinking about each other, in the end, they remain just friends and nothing more.”
The song’s arrangement is super catchy, groovy, and perfect for dancing. The vocals are well-balanced, with each member complementing the others without anyone overpowering the rest.
In addition to the song, the music video is also full of fun. Set in a restaurant, the video, directed by Jessy Silviani and Bobby Adrian V, tells a story that enhances the song’s lyrics. However, it still keeps the vibe light and fun with lots of cheerful moments.
Rachel Rae shared her thoughts about the video, saying, “It was really fun making the video, the concept was spot on, and there were so many fun elements. The result was very satisfying.” Gusty Pratama and Arsy Widianto agreed with her. Through their single “Magnet,” KIM hopes the song will be enjoyed by many and can be a fun soundtrack to start the day. “We hope that as many people as possible will listen to it and feel happy when they hear it,” said Trio KIM.
