Bingkai Karya – Following the success of “Sempurnanya Aku,” the trio New Pusat Dunia, or better known as NPD, returns with another sweet song and playful track. This time, they’ve released a new single titled “I Love You But You Lebih Love Me”, which officially came out on May 29.

Unlike their previous song, Kak Kev, Niky Putra, and Mario Caesar present a pop-jazz and big band pop piece, imbued with a Broadway-inspired brass section. The song was produced in collaboration with producers Rey Tobing and Peter Lawdenk.

Narratively, “I Love You But You Lebih Love Me” tells the story of someone who is so confident in their charm and appeal, realizing that the person they love actually falls for them much deeper. With a flirtatious, lighthearted, and adorable tone, this song conveys the dynamics of a relationship filled with emotional push and pull, self-confidence, and even small gestures that strengthen emotional closeness.

The idea for this song emerged from a casual studio conversation between Kev, Niky, and Mario. From that simple conversation, the line “I love you, but you lebih love me” emerged, which felt light, catchy, and relatable, ultimately becoming the song’s main hook.

During the production process, NPD also collaborated with several key colleagues. These included Iqbaal Ramadhan on acoustic guitar, and Noah’s drummer, Rio Alief, on drums. Niky’s girlfriend, Sonia Dara, and Kimberly Angwen on backing vocals. They were also assisted by Barsena Bestandhi, the vocal director.

Through this single, NPD wants to convey that love can be enjoyed in a fun, lighthearted, and confident way. This song illustrates how a person’s attention, charm, and positive energy can make others feel comfortable and happy, and ultimately lead to them falling in love without realizing it. With its energetic and uplifting arrangement, “I Love You But You Lebih Love Me” is also expected to be a perfect mood booster to listen to when starting the day or before going about various activities.

Visually, the single’s artwork also represents the unique character of each NPD member through a strong Broadway concept, in line with the nuances of their music. Interestingly, the release of this song is also part of NPD’s larger plan, as they are preparing several upcoming works, although for now, the details are still under wraps and listeners are eagerly awaiting them.

With renewed enthusiasm, a more exploratory musical direction, and a distinctive character that remains strong, NPD once again shows their playful side with “I Love You But You Lebih Love Me”, a lighthearted and confident song that is ready to accompany listeners’ days starting May 29th.
