Bingkai Karya – Yura Yunita has released her latest single, “Pertiwi,” now available across digital streaming platforms alongside its official music video. Written by Donne Maula with musical notation by Yura Yunita and produced by Iwan Popo, the song is an emotionally charged work about finding the courage to speak when fear has kept us silent for too long.
Rather than offering a single, fixed interpretation, “Pertiwi” creates space for listeners to confront their own experiences. The song touches on the darkness people keep within themselves, the words that remain unspoken, and the anger or conviction that can be difficult to express. At its heart is a quiet but powerful act of courage: choosing not to remain silent anymore, even when the voice still trembles.
The production reflects that emotional journey. Under Iwan Popo’s direction, the arrangement builds with a grand sense of scale without overwhelming the song’s emotional core. Instead, the music allows its feelings to grow gradually, while Yura’s voice carries the sense of someone gathering the strength to stand firmly and finally speak louder.
The meaning of “Pertiwi” is deliberately left open. For some listeners, it may bring to mind their surroundings, their mothers, women who have chosen or been forced into silence, experiences of injustice, or deeply personal struggles. The single does not insist on one answer. Instead, it invites each listener to allow the song to meet their own memories and experiences.
“Listen to and enjoy the song and the music video. Find a slightly quiet space, let the song end, then wait for a few seconds in silence. Notice who comes to mind. Notice which part makes your chest feel tight,” Yura Yunita shares with listeners.
The song’s emotional world is further translated through its official music video, released simultaneously on September 2, 2026. For the visual project, Yura collaborated with respected creative figures Kathleen Malay as director and Siko Setyanto as choreographer. Together, they bring the song’s emotional intensity into a visual work rooted in raw human feeling while shaped through a polished and carefully considered execution.
With “Pertiwi,” Yura Yunita offers more than a song with a definitive message. She invites listeners to pause, listen inward, and reconnect with something within themselves that may have been made quiet for far too long. Sometimes courage does not come from the loudest voice, but from fear deciding not to step back anymore.
