Bingkai Karya – After releasing her single Ambisius in November 2024, Chintya Gabriella is back to entertain her fans with her latest song, Cerita Besar. This motivational and uplifting track was co-written with Petra Sihombing, who also served as the producer. It marks their second collaboration after Ambisius. According to the singer from Medan, North Sumatra, the song was inspired by her own experiences and the people around her who struggle with overthinking. “While Ambisius talked about chasing ambitions to the point of forgetting to enjoy life, this new song is all about encouragement and motivation—for myself and others. As we grow older, we tend to overthink more. But in the midst of our worries and uncertainties, we need to stay calm and in control. Sometimes, what seems like a dead end might actually be an unexpected way out.”
Creating this song was not an instant process due to distance. Chintya and Petra started working on the first part through an online meeting, then continued during a workshop in Bali. However, it only took two days to complete Cerita Besar. Still, as a former talent show contestant, Chintya found that writing the right lyrics to convey the song’s message was not easy. “There were definitely challenges because I wanted to make sure the message of this single would be well received by my listeners. But with the help of Kak Petra and the WeCord team, I was able to express what I wanted through the lyrics of Cerita Besar.”
Chintya also pointed out that this new single is different from her previous songs. “First, the arrangement. There’s a guitar distortion at the beginning, which is something new for my music, but I love it. Second, the way I sing it. I still use my usual singing style, but the delivery feels more like a conversation. Third, the overall vibe. Even though it’s still a motivational song, this time I want to connect with my listeners as if we’re having a dialogue. I even made slight changes to the verses to better reflect what’s happening in the present.”
Writing songs isn’t always difficult, but it’s not always easy either. As a member of the vocal group Girls Girls, Chintya understands this struggle. However, she has some advice for young artists who feel stuck while writing music. “If you’re feeling blocked, maybe take a short break or do something you enjoy. Sometimes, that’s when new ideas start to form, and you can turn them into lyrics. Most importantly, create music sincerely and from the heart—then just wait for the right time when people resonate with your work.”
Chintya Gabriella’s latest single, Cerita Besar, will be available on digital music platforms starting March 18, 2025.
ABOUT CHINTYA GABRIELLA
Chintya Gabriella Panggabean began her music career by covering songs on social media and uploading them to her YouTube channel. Her encounter with a senior musician led to the release of her debut single, Percaya Aku, in 2019. The song gained significant attention, charting on several digital music platforms and earning her a nomination as a finalist for Best New Female Artist at the 2020 AMI Awards. To date, Chintya has released eight singles, including her first self-written song, Nikmati Perjalanannya, which has been streamed over seven million times on Spotify and even reached Top 1 Song Instagram while going viral on TikTok.

Now, in 2025, she returns with her second single, Cerita Besar, released on March 18. This time, she explores the theme of staying motivated, seeing problems from different perspectives, and believing that a way forward always exists.
