Bingkai Karya – After going viral on TikTok with his single “Benar Salah Hanyalah Salah”, Dnanda is back with a brand new release under Sony Music Indonesia, titled “Bola Mata Sayu.” It’s a light pop ballad with a deep meaning at its core. “The song tells the story of a man’s admiration for the woman he longs for. I tried to capture that feeling through the beauty of a woman’s eyes, how just one glance can soften the heart. So, it’s a song about simple beauty that carries a profound meaning,” shared the young musician from Dumai, Riau.
The creative process behind this track was swift but full of spontaneity. “It only took one night to write the lyrics, then three days to build the arrangement until it felt complete. After that, I went into the studio to add some finishing touches. Compared to my other songs, this was one of the fastest to come together,” he added.
Musically, according to the talent show finalist, “Bola Mata Sayu” carries a classic pop ballad feel with touches of doo-wop, giving it a warm, vintage atmosphere. “When it comes to influences, I draw a lot of inspiration from international singers like Eric Carmen and Bryan Adams. Locally, I’ve always admired the late Chrisye, how he could present such simplicity in his songs yet still make them emotionally powerful. That’s the approach I tried to bring into this single, and I hope listeners can embrace it,” he explained.
Marking his return to Sony Music Indonesia this year, Dnanda believes “Bola Mata Sayu” brings a fresh new shade to his artistry. “This song feels different from my previous works because I wanted to highlight a lighter, more genuine side of romance, not sadness or conflict. It’s more about admiration, falling in love, and holding onto hope. That’s why the mood is more positive, something that can even make people smile while listening,” he said. For Dnanda who is skilled in guitar, bass, drums, and piano, working once again with Sony Music Indonesia is a big milestone in his musical journey. “Being part of Sony Music is truly an honor for me. I’ve always dreamed of having my work supported by a major label with an international network. Hopefully, this means my songs can reach even more listeners, maybe even overseas,” he shared.
