Donne Maula, singer, producer and songwriter, has once again shown his skills as one of the most productive musicians in this modern era with his latest solo work “Bercinta Lewat Kata”.
After his work on “Menjadi Manusia” where Donne reveals a creative transition to Alternative-pop ballads, now, Donne has reaffirmed his position as a special songwriter because he is able to present unique themes with a sharp perspective.
Donne said that the creative process for this song started because his head was full of questions as well as statements. In his daily life, he has lots of discussions with Yandy Laurens, his best friend, about love that must be bound by promises, love is mostly lived based on what is shown on the television screen, and romance is exaggerated so that it seems illogical.
Donne felt that love should be described more simply. He added that he chooses a life partner with connected talk, because friends and even children will have their own paths, but a life partner will accompany them until they are old.
Donne’s newest song was created during the Tutur Batin YURA concert, one hour before it started. Donne wrote and sang this song in front of his wife, Yura, until it was finally shown on stage. At first, Donne did not want to release this song because he felt that this song was special for Yura and that it could only be heard at the Tutur Batin concert. However, encouragement from Yura finally convinced Donne to release this song.
“Bercinta Lewat Kata” is also the soundtrack for Yandy Laurens’ latest film “Jatuh Cinta Seperti di Film-Film”. According to Yandy, this song is not just a soundtrack, but more than that. This song has the power to bring to life the feelings of the story and the characters in it.
