Drax Project released an EP called “Blind Beat” as a result of their TikTok content series #blindbeatchallenge they made during the pandemic. This challenge required each member to create a song based on the input they heard while being blindfolded.
They had 10 minutes and their instruments to produce the song. Their fans seem to enjoy this challenge and the making of the music.
“We were trying to spark some creativity in the studio,” explains the band.
“When Ben (O’Leary – guitarist) suggested we each go to a separate room and write a part for a song. We picked a key and a tempo to base our ideas off, so the end result would at least be listenable… in theory. Matt (Beachen – drummer) filmed everyone’s reactions and posted it to TikTok, really thinking nothing much of it. The first one racked up millions of views in a few days and the #blindbeatchallenge was born.“

‘In And Out’, ‘Stole A Car’, ‘Confessions’, ‘Judge Judy’, ‘Second Chances’, and the previously released ‘Gameboy Color’ made their way into the “Blind Beat” EP package as a consequence of fan elation. Drax Project quickly put together the sharp collection of releases.
The “Blind Beat: EP is one of the most anticipated collections of work to emerge from the music industry’s most important discovery platform after lead track “Gameboy Color” quickly became a viral hit on TikTok. “Blind Beat” EP is already available on all streaming platforms via Drax Project’s label, HNT.
