Bingkai Karya – Fatin Shidqia Lubis, one of Indonesia’s most beloved vocalists, officially releases her latest single, “Tidur Siang,” marking a thoughtful new chapter in her musical journey. Following the success of her 2025 album Cerita Kita, this new release showcases a more introspective side of Fatin, offering listeners a deeply relatable reflection on life, growth, and acceptance.
Unlike the romantic themes that have defined much of her previous work, “Tidur Siang” explores the simple yet profound realities of everyday life. Inspired by a common childhood experience—being told to take an afternoon nap—the song transforms this familiar memory into a metaphor for adulthood, where rest becomes a rare luxury. Through this lens, Fatin encourages listeners to reflect on how perspectives shift over time and to embrace each phase of life with openness and gratitude.
“This single is about becoming aware of the different stages of life,” Fatin explains. “When we were kids, we often resisted taking a nap, but as adults, it becomes something we long for. It’s a reminder that life isn’t always sad or always happy we just have to accept it as it comes.”
The single also marks Fatin’s first collaboration with producer and songwriter Will Mara, a partnership that proved both dynamic and seamless. Remarkably, the song was written, composed, and recorded as a demo in just five hours, reflecting a natural creative chemistry between the two artists. The production process progressed smoothly, supported by a strong creative team that helped bring the song’s vision to life within a month.
In addition to the audio release, Fatin has prepared a music video that visually complements the song’s message, developed in collaboration with creative director Sebastian from Angankara. The visual concept aligns closely with the track’s reflective theme, further enhancing the emotional connection with listeners.
Entering her thirties, Fatin views “Tidur Siang” as a symbolic milestone in her career. After years of singing about love, she sought to create something that resonates with both her personal growth and the journey of her long-time fans. “Many of my listeners have grown up with me since I was 16,” she shares. “This song is for all of us who are continuing to grow and navigate life together.”
