The creation of “GET DOWN” was serendipitous, born in the hallways of Flo’s home as she juggled her role as a mother of three. Art has always been her enduring passion, and despite pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with distinction and receiving a scholarship from the University of Sydney, she continued to use music as a source of inspiration in her busy life as both a career woman and a homemaker.
Flo’s creativity flowed even in unexpected moments, resulting in a substantial collection of melodies and lyrics. However, her turning point came when her children, who were already familiar with her songs, asked, “Mom, why isn’t your song on the radio? Why is there no music accompanying it?” This spurred her to reflect on setting an example for her children, one that encourages the pursuit of dreams without fear.
