Beeswax Returns with Emotive Single “Chew It All” After Four-Year Hiatus

Indonesia’s pioneering Midwest-emo revivalists, Beeswax, have made a triumphant return to the music scene with their latest single, “Chew It All.” The band, known for their jangly guitar twinkle and emotive lyrics, last graced the music world in 2019. Released digitally on September 22nd, 2023, via Yallfears, this track marks a significant shift in the band’s musical landscape.

“Chew It All” showcases a newfound heaviness and angst in Beeswax’s sound, signaling a fresh chapter in their discography. Bagas Yudhiswa, the band’s vocalist and guitarist, explained that the song revolves around themes of acceptance and closure after facing adversity.

The artwork, created in collaboration with Iqbal Febrian from Yallfears, features an x-ray of lungs filled with fluid, serving as a visual representation of the song’s message. Bagas, who also handled the mixing and mastering, dedicated three months to perfecting the track.
