for Revenge and Wika Salim has finally completed their collaboration with the title “JEDA” after collaborating with Fiersa Besari. The collaboration should have been completed and released in 2022, but the actual year of the completion of the collaboration changed to the middle of this year.
“This is a project that was delayed in 2022. Not long after the release of the song “JEDA”, we have a plan to create something that was unthinkable before, collaborating with dangdut singers. Wika Salim is our first option for the dangdut singer. And finally, that plan has materialized today.” Boenix, for Revenge’s vocalist, explains.
“JEDA” is a remake version of the song “JEDA” released in 2022. The remake version tells a story from 2 points of view about a complex closure of a relationship. The point of the story plot in the story is, they started out not for a good reason, and it led them to mistakes throughout the relationship and led them to a bad end. In this song, Wika Salim sings the point of view of the female character, while Boniex sings the point of view of the male character.

for Revenge’s guitarist, Arief, hopes that through the explanation of 2 points of view of the characters, the whole story written in the lyrics can be understood perfectly by the listeners.
“Why “JEDA”? Because something very heavy and burdenful has been passed, and there are times when you need a break,” Boenix explains about the song title deeper.
for Revenge is an emo band based in Bandung, which consists of Boniex (Vocal), Arief (Gitar), Izha (Bass) dan Chimot (Drum). They have released 4 albums so far, like “Perayaan Patah Hati – Babak 1” (2022) with their main single “Serana”. And it is reported that they are planning to release the sequel of the album, titled “Perayaan Patah Hati – Babak 2”.
