Bingkai Karya – Brazilian-born pop provocateur Laura Pieri is back to turn up the heat with “Daughter of Demeter (ON THE DANCEFLOOR)”—a seductive, dance-infused reimagining of the raw 2024 single from her Frankie EP. The track will be featured alongside “Sea of Tragedy (ON THE DANCEFLOOR)” on the upcoming expanded edition Frankie (ON THE DANCEFLOOR), set for release later this summer.
While the original “Daughter of Demeter” erupted like a cathartic scream—bursting with rage, heartbreak, and rebellion—this remix chooses to smolder. Pieri explains,
“This remix is what happens when that fire simmers into something slower, sharper, and slyer. The fury isn’t gone. There’s a defiance in turning pain into pleasure, and that’s what this version does: it lounges in heartbreak with style. It’s rage on vacation.”
The new version pushes Pieri’s songwriting into deeper emotional terrain, embedding her fiercest lines within a slinky, sensual sonic space.
“It made me rethink how we process and present emotion, especially feminine emotion,” she adds. “Sometimes healing looks like dancing. Sometimes grief shows up in a slow sway.”
