Bingkai Karya – Former LYLA pop-rock members Indra Sinaga (Naga), Amec Aris, and Dennis (DRI) have officially introduced DANZ, a modern rock/metal band that serves as their new creative outlet, embracing a more personal and experimental musical direction.
Although each member pursued different paths over the years Naga joined ADA Band, Dennis continued with LYLA, while Amec became the drummer of Govinda the three musicians have now reunited through DANZ.
With this new band, they are finally fulfilling their long-held passion for the kind of music they dreamed of playing when they first fell in love with rock: a darker, heavier, and more exploratory modern rock/metal sound that stands in sharp contrast to the musical style that has long been associated with their names.
Drawing inspiration from bands such as Sleep Token, Dayseeker, President, Holding Absence, and others, DANZ delivers a modern rock/metal sound that reflects the evolution of today’s heavy music scene while retaining the strong pop sensibility that has always been part of their musical identity.
As their official introduction to the public, DANZ has released “Sekte Nekat,” the first single from their debut EP, ‘Gravitasi,’ which was released on July 10, 2026, via Holdfast Records.
Opening with low-tuned guitar riffs and driven by Naga’s unmistakable vocals, “Sekte Nekat” channels vulnerability as its central emotion. The song tells the story of ordinary people who continue to fight every day, even without knowing what tomorrow may bring.
“Tomorrow is tomorrow. No one knows what tomorrow holds. When you fall, you have to rise again.”
This message lies at the heart of “Sekte Nekat” and reflects the spirit DANZ carries as they begin this new chapter. Produced by Winaldy Senna (510, KOTAK, Endank Soekamti, Summerlane) alongside DANZ, the track is part of the five-song EP ‘Gravitasi,’ which also features “Bicara,” “Retas,” “Gravitasi,” and “Jalan Di Tempat.”
Across the EP’s five tracks, DANZ explores themes that resonate deeply with everyday life, including choice, uncertainty, hope, loss, and the consequences that come with every decision we make.
For Naga, Amec, and Dennis, DANZ represents a long-term commitment to creating music on their own terms. More than just a new band, it is the most honest expression of who they are as musicians today, free from the shadow of their past and unrestricted by expectations.
