Bingkai Karya – LISA returns to her roots with “SaWaDiKa,” the highly anticipated first release from her upcoming EP ‘Press Play,’ arriving October 23. Produced by Thom Bridges and Ojivolta, the new single draws on LISA’s rap prowess and core hip-hop sound while celebrating her Thai heritage.
Named after the Thai greeting for “hello,” “SaWaDiKa” marks a return to the sound and cultural roots that have shaped LISA’s artistic identity. The accompanying music video, directed by Bang Jae Yeob, was filmed in Bangkok, Thailand, LISA’s native city. Featuring iconic locations across Bangkok, the video combines high-energy choreography with a series of bold fashion looks, bringing the track’s dynamic energy to life.
The release follows a global teaser campaign designed around the simple yet intriguing message “Hello สวัสดีค่ะ.” Cryptic billboards appeared across Thailand, Korea, China, France, Mexico, the UK, Canada, Germany, and the US, displaying translations in local languages alongside hellosawadika.com. Fans who visited the website were met with a countdown and sign-up page, generating widespread online discussion, speculation, and anticipation ahead of the single’s release.
LISA’s return arrives alongside several major projects that further expand her creative presence beyond music. Her upcoming documentary, ‘Always Lalisa,’ directed by Sue Kim, will premiere at TIFF on September 11. The film follows a pivotal year in LISA’s life as she steps away from BLACKPINK to pursue her solo career, acting projects, and entrepreneurial ventures. Following its festival premiere, the documentary will receive a limited theatrical release in IMAX and cinemas worldwide beginning October 12.
Meanwhile, LISA is set to take her new era to the stage with her recently announced Las Vegas residency in November. The residency sold out within minutes, adding another major milestone to an already highly anticipated period for the artist. She has also teased an upcoming collaboration with Miniso, with pop-up activations planned across Thailand, Japan, China, Indonesia, the US, and Mexico.
With “SaWaDiKa” opening the next chapter of her solo journey, LISA continues to connect her global audience with her Thai roots while building momentum toward ‘Press Play,’ set for release on October 23.
