Idgitaf’s “Satu-Satu” Attracted More Than 7 Million Listeners on DSP

Idgitaf’s hit “Satu-Satu” has garnered over 7 million plays on various music streaming platforms. As per August 25, the track was played 559,000 times. The sizable number of streams her hit received made Idgitaf come in first on Indonesia’s Spotify Daily Viral Songs Chart.

“Satu-Satu” gained traction due to its representation of people’s feelings and experiences on a short video-based social platform. Over 550,900 short videos featuring this song were shared on a social media platform, telling life stories of the publishers.

Idgitaf wrote “Satu-Satu” in 2020 after a traumatic event, but Gita (Idgitaf’s nickname) admitted that she didn’t feel sad while writing it. Gita reflected on all the traumas that had occurred in her life and realized that even trauma could have a positive impact.

Gita admitted that she was very grateful about “Satu-Satu” getting massive attention now, even though the song was released a year ago. Additionally, she felt that performing the song has always brightened the stage.

Idgitaf released “Satu-Satu” as a standalone single on June 10, 2022, as the first single from her debut full album, “Mengudara”. The song appears as the second track on the album, alongside eight other songs that form a complete narrative about Gita’s self-maturation process.

With the increasing attention on the song ‘Satu-Satu’ in Indonesia, Gita hoped that it would also serve as the first step in getting to know the other 8 songs packaged in “Mengudara”. “I believe that listeners will discover which work resonates with them at the right time.” she explained.
