Indonesia was reported to be the host for the ASEAN Investment Forum 2023. The event took place in Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, on Saturday, September 2nd. There were a lot of businessmen, government officials, and stakeholders throughout the Southeast Asia region.
The aim of ASEAN Investment Forum 2023 is to discuss the investment potentials in the ASEAN region that is developing rapidly throughout the years. This information regarding the aim of the event was confirmed by one of the representatives of the International Business Association (IBA) Indonesia, Shan-Shan.
“The aim is to discuss the potential for investment and trade in the increasingly developing ASEAN region,” Shan-Shan stated in a press conference.
Shan-Shan also expressed her feelings attending the big event, which was also attended by a lot of other investors from other countries. The investors who attended the event wore batik, as a courtesy to the host country, Indonesia. And for her personally, it was an honor to take part in the event.
“I hope this investment forum, which is being held for the first time in Indonesia, can open up more opportunities to introduce the potentials of each country for the investment world,” Shan-Shan stated her hope.

The activity of the ASEAN Investment Forum 2023 itself is to show the investment project to the international and regional investors. But not only competing with each other’s investment projects, but ASEAN Investment Forum 2023 encourages the attendant to cooperate, synergize, and support each other through the encounter of the businessmen and the investor in the event.
“We cannot stand alone, ASEAN has to realize its strength and investment potential to further strengthen ASEAN’s position as a global investment haven,” Arsjad Rasjid, the head of ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC), stated.
