Bingkai Karya – Nearly a decade since its first release with LYLA, Indra Sinaga, now known as a solo artist, returns with a refreshed, more personal take on his iconic track “Ga Romantis.” The song, reimagined with rich retro nuance, is a sincere reinterpretation of a love story rooted in a very real moment.
Originally introduced to the public in 2015, “Ga Romantis” was inspired by a true story: the time Indra Sinaga forgot to wish his wife, Feby Rizky Andhika Siregar, a happy birthday. From that small, human moment came a song that has become a candid declaration of love without unnecessary frills.
“I’m not a romantic guy. But maybe that’s what makes this song feel honest and relatable,” Sinaga shared.
The updated version features an arrangement that significantly departs from the original. While the first rendition was wrapped in LYLA’s signature pop-rock style, this solo version embraces a strong 80s pop atmosphere. Soft synth pads, a groovy mid-tempo beat, and a vintage ambiance shape the overall tone, making it sound warmer yet still straightforward. This atmosphere also gives more space for Indra Sinaga’s vocal character to shine, now sounding more reflective and intimate.
Technically, the nearly four-minute track presents polished production and a steady dynamic flow, enhancing the “old but gold” impression it aims to convey. This is not merely a remake, it is a full reinterpretation of a deeply personal moment, now retold through a more mature and timeless musical language.
“Love doesn’t have to be full of flowers or sweet words. Sometimes, presence and honesty are enough,” he added.
With this release, Indra Sinaga solidifies his path as a soloist unafraid to present his truest self, no mask, no sugarcoating.
“Ga Romantis” (solo version) will be available on all digital platforms starting July 11, 2025.
