Bingkai Karya–Jinan Laetitia, the young, eccentric musician is pushing boundaries once again. This time, she’s stepping out of her comfort zone, dropping her first-ever house music track titled “Renaissance Man.”
“This track is something fresh compared to my previous work. It’s my debut house music single, and Osvaldorio, my producer, and I aimed to create something that feels classic house but still totally Jinan Laetitia. I think we nailed it with this track,” Jinan Laetitia said Jinan reveals that “Renaissance Man” is inspired by one of her idols, Leonardo Da Vinci. The track came to life while she was diving into Da Vinci’s biography.
“Renaissance Man” is about someone you deeply admire, seeing them as this amazing figure, and wanting to do anything to keep admiring and getting close to them,” she added.
The song is penned by Jinan herself and produced alongside Osvaldorio. “Renaissance Man” features a fast-paced beat, a shift from Jinan’s previous edgy tracks. She’s already teased that her upcoming album will include more tracks with rapid beats, with “Renaissance Man” and the earlier release “Indulgence” being part of this new direction.
“If you listen closely to the chorus, you might wonder about that deep, mysterious voice—who’s featuring? Nope, it’s just me, pitched down a few octaves. If you reverse that voice with some sound effects, you’ll uncover my real voice,” she revealed.
Jinan’s Journey
In 2022, Jinan Laetitia snagged an AMI Award for Best Contemporary R&B Solo Artist with her single “Vanilla.” Her collab with Indonesian male soloist Pamungkas, “Timeless,” earned a nod for Best Contemporary R&B Duo/Group/Collaboration. Both tracks are featured on her debut album “One,” released in 2022.
The Fine Arts and Design college-graduate continues to shine on the international stage, performing at the Singapore Formula 1 and opening for Coldplay’s six-day concert in Singapore in early 2024.
