Kacey Musgraves Covers Elvis’ Hit “Can’t Help Falling in Love”

Kacey Musgraves’ cover of Elvis Presley’s hit “Can’t Help Falling in Love” is finally out, followed by the release of Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic this weekend. The song was created in a simple arrangement of piano and Musgraves’ dainty vocals.

Some scenes of the film were featured in the music video, including the farewell of Lisa Marie in the airport and love story between Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley. The soundtrack for the next Elvis movie will feature original songs and recordings from artists like Swae Lee, Denzel Curry, Jack White, Diplo, Tame Impala, and Måneskin.

The new track comes after the release of numerous new versions of Presley classics, including Doja Cat’s “Vegas” and Eminem’s “King and I,” which incorporates “Jailhouse Rock” and “Hound Dog” respectively. Baz Luhrmann stated that the biopic was such a kind of media to delve into how the U.S was in Elvis’ era.
