The challenge invites partners to collaborate with KDDI Technology in delivering new services that improve consumer and business experiences. KDDI Tech will choose candidates who have AI-embedded devices or AI solutions that work with or are integrated in devices. The selected applicants will have two possibilities for working with KDDI Tech.
They can choose to promote the product or service through a joint proposal to KDDI Corporation, Japan’s number one mobile communication carrier in terms of sales. Alternatively, if the Proof of Concept (PoC) results are valid, KDDI Tech will market the product or service to customers or enterprises. The challenge’s selection criteria include technical superiority and availability for demonstration. The chosen applicants will also have free access to MoBagel’s product until the Demo Day. MoBagel is a cybersecurity and artificial intelligence firm that KDDI Technology purchased in 2021.
KDDI Technology offers a one-stop shop for technical assistance, system development, and IoT-related product operation. The company’s goal is to put breakthrough technology into practice and to assist customers in meeting their genuine needs. The challenge application period began on May 1st and will end on August 18th. Shortlisted applicants will be notified on September 1st, with the Demo Day scheduled for November.
The competition provides an opportunity for partners to enter the Japanese market alongside one of the country’s leading telecom operators. KDDI Technology aspires to identify novel technologies that will enable it to continue to provide value to customers and businesses, especially those enabled by AI and devices.
