LISA Drops Cinematic Short Film for “Dream” Featuring Japanese Star Kentaro Sakaguchi

Bingkai Karya – Global fashion icon, rapper, singer, dancer, and actress LISA has released the official short film for “Dream”, one of the standout tracks from her debut full-length solo album Alter Ego, which arrived earlier this year. The visually stunning, emotionally charged project stars LISA alongside acclaimed Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi.

Previously teased through a series of Instagram Stories and posts, the short film invites viewers into a cinematic journey of love and loss. LISA’s character takes audiences through bittersweet memories of a past relationship, from moments of romantic bliss to the depths of heartbreak. Directed by XXX, the film showcases LISA’s acting range in a way fans have rarely seen before in her visual work.

The release of “Dream” comes just a week after LISA scored her third MTV VMA nomination, this time for Best K-Pop, with the chart-topping collaboration “Born Again” featuring Doja Cat and RAYE. She won the same category last year with “Rockstar” from Alter Ego, and made history in 2022 as the first-ever soloist to claim the award, a feat she remains the only one to achieve more than once.

Alter Ego has been met with widespread acclaim from both fans and critics. Rolling Stone praised, “Lisa’s versatility is her greatest strength, also evident in her expanding acting career, as seen in this season of The White Lotus. Alter Ego feels like a promising first step into a bright solo future.” The album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales and entered the Billboard 200 Top 10 at #7.

In April, LISA made her solo debut at Coachella with a show-stopping performance on the Sahara Stage. Billboard described it as “tight, creative, cool, and fully electric, with Lisa leading a massive stage alongside a powerhouse crew of dancers, clearly enjoying every moment.” During her set, she even gave a playful nod to her The White Lotus character “Mook” from the Emmy-nominated HBO series, marking her acting debut.

Currently, LISA is on the road with BLACKPINK for the [DEADLINE] World Tour, which has sold out every stop.
