Petrus Mahendra, known by his stage name MAHEN, released a remake song “Kenangan Terindah”. This song was known widely in the 2000s by the band Samsons, written by Irfan Samsons, and managed to become a hit in the 2000s. It tells the story of a beautiful relationship complete with happiness that ends up becoming a memory.
“This song is one of Samsons’ hits, and I want to sing it again in the pop genre with my own trademark sound. While it is a bit different, there is no change to the lyrics and it excites me to be allowed to sing this song since it been with me during my heartbreak phase,” said Mahen

Mahen chose this song because he can relate to it well with what’s happening nowadays, a lot of people that still love each other but have to go separate ways due to various reasons, such as differing religions, lack of parental blessing and much more. With the new arrangement from Mahen, this song will accompany us when we’re sad and everyone without exception can listen to it since it has a lot more meaning than heartbreak.
