MALANG CITY HERE WE GO! Kunto Aji Presents “Perjalanan Menawar Racun” Tour: A Journey of Growth, Connection, and Simplicity

Bingkai Karya – After nearly a year since its release in September 2023, Kunto Aji is finally taking his album, “Pengantar Purifikasi Pikir” on tour. This tour will offer a fresh experience compared to his usual performances, focusing on something more meaningful.

The tour is more than just enjoying Kunto Aji’s music. The concept is to take the audiences on a collective journey of growth. “The idea really took shape when I performed at Krapela in South Jakarta. I thought it would be nice to just focus on playing in a band, without too many theatrical elements or gimmicks like in the ‘Mantra Mantra’ era. So, we decided to keep it simple, just a band setup with singalongs and more,” Kunto Aji explained about his “Perjalanan Menawar Racun” tour.

The tour will travel from east to west across Java. “ This is just the first round. We’re starting with Java this time due to logistical reasons, but I hope to cover more of Indonesia soon. I initially wanted to visit cities like Banyuwangi and Cirebon, but due to the current economic situation, it’s more practical to begin here. We’ve even added a stop in Kuala Lumpur at the end because there was a demand,” he explained.

To kick things off, Kunto Aji has released a special extended music video for his song “Jernih” from the album “Pengantar Purifikasi Pikir.” The video is about ten minutes long and can be watched on his official YouTube channel.

Space to Grow

During the tour, Kunto Aji and his band will be traveling extensively, performing every two days except in Kuala Lumpur. The tour will feature songs from “Pengantar Purifikasi Pikir” but will also include fan favorites from his earlier albums, “Generation Y” and “Mantra Mantra.” Each night, Kunto Aji plans to play around twenty songs. “I want fans to experience this album live, as it’s not often performed in full. It’s important for us to share it live so we can all sing along together,” he added.

“Pengantar Purifikasi Pikir” is Kunto Aji’s third album and focuses on personal growth. He’s bringing this theme to life through various events during the tour. “Even though we’re all connected on social media, we can still feel alone. That’s why I’m creating ‘Growing Together Spaces’ in each city. These spaces will help us connect with each other in real life,” Kunto Aji explained. “Social media isn’t enough for real interaction. We need to engage in activities outside our usual routines, like joining local groups, volunteering, or reconnecting with family.”
