Masdo, 60s Pop Band from Malaysia Releases New Single “Perih Jerih”

Bingkai Karya-Masdo, a band with a retro vibe, is back with a new single titled “Perih Jerih.” This Malaysian band consists of three talented members, Ali Sariah (vocalist), Putu Ceri (bass) and Asmawi (guitarist).

Masdo immediately organized a 4-city tour in Indonesia to promote their latest song. This tour has been successfully held in the cities of Bandung, Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Bali. Started on May 31 to June 10, 2024. On this tour Masdo is supported by Klook and also Enrich Malaysia.

Telling a story of struggle and loss, the song “Perih Jerih” was entirely created by the three of them together with Warner Music Malaysia. Produced with an alternative pop feel, the single Perih Jerih took two weeks to complete and was recorded at Bijan Fx Productions studio.

Interestingly, the shooting of Perih Jerih’s music video (MV) directed by Aqil Muaz took place around London. “In short, this MV tells the story of a couple who must sacrifice their feelings and relationships for the sake of the common good. And we chose London because we were invited to perform there. So we took advantage of the time and space available by filming there,” Asmawi explained.

“Aside from this new single, we are currently planning to prepare a full album for our 10th anniversary next year. And most likely we will also hold a series of concert tours around Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore to introduce our new album at Masdo’s 10th anniversary concert,” said Ali Sariah.
