Serena Williams, a tennis star, and supermodel Karlie Kloss debuted their baby bumps at the Met Gala red carpet on Monday night. During the event, Serena Williams also announced her pregnancy through her post on Instagram with the caption, “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala.”
At Met Gala 2023, Serena Williams stunned in a plunging Gucci gown that featured sheer sleeves and a white tulle skirt with jewelry by Tiffany and Co. to match her growing baby bump. Besides her stunning outfit, she also introduced her new hairstyle: a sleek bob.
Meanwhile, Karlie Kloss also gushed about her pregnancy to Emma Chamberlain, who interviewed her for Vogue Magazine on the Met Gala red carpet. She said, “I have a little surprise….I got a plus one.”

Kloss mentioned that it was her first time on a red carpet while pregnant and she was also surprised that she could keep her pregnancy a secret for a long time. She also added, “You know what, this is also the first time I’m sharing my news, so it’s very special.”
Karlie Kloss wore a black Loewe dress designed by Jonathan Anderson. She also accessorized her look with pearls, adding layers of pearl necklaces and a pearl chain around her hips. She told Entertainment Tonight that The Met is the most important night in fashion.
The 2023 Met Gala itself is officially underway at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday. This year’s official Met Gala co-hosts will all be present, including Penélope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa, and Vogue’s Anna Wintour.
