Singer and talented songwriter Jaya Mezzaluna Bungari, affectionately known as Mezzaluna, has returned with her latest single titled “Legend.” Unlike her previous works that were based on her personal experiences, “Legend” draws inspiration from two completely unknown individuals. Mezzaluna explains, “One day, I saw these two people and began envisioning a story about them. That story is what I poured into the song ‘Legend,’ like a writer bringing a story to life through music.”
Although the process of creating this single was initially challenging due to its short duration, Mezzaluna successfully completed it. She revealed that she enjoys crafting short melodies that she records herself with voice notes, making it easy for her to adapt them into songs.
With “Legend,” Mezzaluna aims to convey a message of self-reliance to her listeners. She believes that we must learn to be independent and not overly depend on others.

Mezzaluna also disclosed who she regards as “legends” in her life. Her parents are her first choice, as they have been her life mentors. In the world of music, the late Amy Winehouse is her timeless musical legend, and Isyana Sarasvati is her local idol who opened doors to new genres in Indonesia.
With hopes that the single “Legend” will be well-received by her audience, Mezzaluna wants to show that as an artist, she is open to various sources of inspiration and can transform them into beautiful and meaningful creations. For her, this is a process she fully enjoys.
