“Napoleon” First Official Trailer Shows Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon Bonaparte

Napoleon is a new film from Apple Studios that tells the story of Napoleon Bonaparte. This movie was directed by Ridley Scott, and starred Oscar-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix. Originally, the film was supposed to be released in late 2022, but was declined until late 2023.

The first trailer of Napoleon was released on July 11, 2023. In this trailer, you can see Joaquin Phoenix as famous leader Napoleon Bonaparte, starting with the French Revolution. One of the battle sequences is showcased at the end of the trailer, with thrilling and terrifying sensation. 

Some of the other stars in this film are Vanessa Kirby as Bonaparte’s eventual wife, Josephine, Tahar Rahim, as Paul Barras, Ben Miles as Caulaincourt, and French movie star, Ludivine Sagnier as Theresa Cabarrus.

‘Napoleon’ tells the story of Napoleon Bonaparte’s rise from a nobody to sitting in power in France. In this film, it will also highlight some of the major wars that Bonaparte went through during his life, as well as his visionary military and political tactics. This film will also show the love story of Napoleon with his lover, Josephine (Vanessa Kirby).

Moreover, Napoleon was French emperor who ruled the European Continent from 1803 to 1815. Military leader Napoleon,  became Emperor of France who conquered much of Europe in the early 19th century. After seizing political power in France in a 1799 coup, Bonaparte crowned himself emperor in 1804.

The official synopsis for the film Napoleon says that it is an epic action-packed spectacle about Napoleon’s unparalleled rise to his death in 1821 at the age of 51.

Napoleon is planned to be shown in cinemas in America and England on November 22, 2023. After that, you can watch Napoleon on Apple TV+, Apple’s streaming platform.
