Bingkai Karya – One month before the release of her second full-length album, singer-songwriter Idgitaf presents her latest single titled “Mungkin di Depan Buram”. This track marks Gita’s third single following “Sedia Aku Sebelum Hujan” (October 2025) and “Rutinitas” (January 2026), both of which were warmly received by Indonesian music listeners. According to data released on April 13, 2026, Gita is one of Indonesia’s female artists with the highest number of monthly listeners on Spotify, reaching 15.2 million.
“For me, this song fully represents the feeling of sadness, while also reflecting the effort to keep trying and fighting, and it also includes the element of rain. This is the first time I’ve experienced a kind of love that is rooted in wanting to see the good in each other and bringing out the best in one another. I don’t completely know how we got this far, but it always feels like there’s something pushing me to keep going,” explained Gita.
As a fresh new color in Idgitaf’s upcoming album, country music elements blend beautifully with Gita’s signature joyful pop sound. Opening with a gentle guitar melody carrying a touch of melancholy, the song shines brightly while the lyrics describe an encounter that opens the path toward a new direction.
There are situations that are not always easy, and a future that may not yet be clear, but this does not stop Gita from singing about hope: “Mungkin di depan buram/Mungkin di depan seram/ Tapi tak bisa kubaca mana arahku/Yang tak berakhir selain di pelukanmu”. Amid the upbeat rhythm, the harmonica accompaniment blending with Gita’s vocals further illustrates a sense of hope and determination in facing the future.
“Sometimes we meet someone when both of us are not in the best place. But if we share the same energy and it turns out we need each other, it could be that we no longer focus on how scary the road ahead is, but instead on how big the possibility is for us to stay together. This song may sound romantic, but it was born from a journey that was far from easy,” said Gita.
Gita shared that unlike her previous album, her latest album will explore themes of love and reflections born from conversations with herself. She also hopes listeners will appreciate her effort in embracing a new genre, country music, and how she applies it to her musical style.
Idgitaf is widely known for songs such as “Takut,” “Semoga Sembuh,” and “Satu-Satu,” which have reached many listeners thanks to their simple yet deeply touching lyrics. Her debut full-length album, Mengudara, containing nine tracks, was released in 2023. Idgitaf was also nominated at the 2025 Indonesian Film Festival in the category of Best Theme Song Composer for “Berakhir di Aku” (OST Home Sweet Loan).
From March to April 2026, Idgitaf held a series of intimate events with fans leading up to her latest album. The event “Berbuka di Bawah Hujan” on March 13 invited fans to enjoy an iftar experience while listening to songs from the new album. Meanwhile, “Bermain di Bawah Hujan” on March 27 gave fans the chance to enjoy games at Timezone while listening to upcoming tracks. One of the songs Gita performed during these events was “Mungkin di Depan Buram,” and fan-recorded videos had already generated various content using and responding to the song even before its official release.
Released under Idgitaf Musik in collaboration with KithLabo, “Mungkin di Depan Buram” was officially launched on April 15, 2026, across all digital streaming platforms.
