Peach Luffe Unveils Dreamy New EP ‘Honey,’ a Lush Trip Through Time and Melody

Bingkai Karya – Get ready to dive into a sonic sanctuary! Toronto-based bedroom pop artist Peach Luffe (pronounced Loo-fee) has announced his latest EP, ‘Honey,’ set to melt your ears on March 8th. Overflowing with six dreamy tracks, this record promises lush soundscapes and introspective lyrics that have become Luffe’s signature.

Just released, the single “Honeymoon” offers a taste of what’s to come, following previous hits like “Quite Like You” and “Say It Back.” Inspired by slow Korean ballads, Luffe explains, “I wanted to explore my own ballad voice. Koreans hold them dear, it’s woven into our upbringing. In ‘Honeymoon,’ I reminisce with a long-lost friend, knowing even if we reconnected, the past holds its own magic.”

This sonic journey belongs to Jong Lee, a classically trained violinist born in Seoul, raised in Buffalo, and now finding his groove in Toronto. Known for crafting daydream-worthy pop, Lee draws on his classical roots to build breathtaking soundscapes that transport listeners. His stage name, Peach Luffe, reflects his love for peaches and the adventurous spirit of Luffy from One Piece.

What started as a solo bedroom project during the pandemic has blossomed into a full band, with talented collaborators and even Lee’s beloved feline sidekick, Mango. A prolific songwriter, Lee has captivated audiences with his ethereal sounds and rich vocals in just four years, releasing his debut EP ‘Shimmer’ (2020), his full-length album ‘Everything is Peachy’ (2022), and four additional EPs. This rapid growth has seen him build a devoted fan base not just in his Toronto home but also across Southeast Asia, with Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan now topping his streaming charts.

Peach Luffe’s global reach extends beyond streaming numbers. He’s gained early praise from tastemakers like CBC and Atwood Magazine, with his music gracing influential playlists like ORG. on Spotify Asia. Spotify even took note, featuring him on a billboard in Toronto’s Dundas Square for Asian Heritage Month in 2023. His single “Shimmer” has even found its way into Korean commercials and the 2022 film Swearing Jar. And to top it all off, Peach Luffe is confirmed for SXSW 2024!

With his music resonating across continents, Peach Luffe is poised for a major 2024. ‘Honey’ promises to be another captivating chapter in his musical adventure, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this talented artist.
