Bingkai Karya – After a long period of silence, Arash Buana finally returns to greet his listeners through a deeply personal and emotional work. He releases a single titled “April”, where he invites listeners to face something that is often difficult to do: accepting loss.
“April” marks Arash’s first release this year, continuing his musical journey as he grows more mature in turning personal stories into something relatable for many.
The song tells a story of an uncommon kind of separation, not just the end of a relationship, but the loss of someone forever. The figure “April” in the song is portrayed as someone who has passed away, leaving behind a deep sense of grief for those left behind. Yet beneath the sadness lies a simple but powerful message: those who are gone may only want us to slowly learn to let go.
Wrapped in his signature alternative pop style, “April” feels intimate from the very first second. The warm, understated arrangement allows the emotions to fully resonate, while Arash’s vocals come through with an honest approach, almost like a personal conversation with oneself.
Interestingly, this song also marks a new step in Arash’s creative process. For “April”, he chose to both write and produce the track himself. Although this decision was initially filled with doubt, it ultimately sparked a new sense of curiosity in his musical exploration. During the process, Arash was also assisted by Thai musician Suchakree, who contributed to the drum parts.
The idea to revisit and complete the song came after his return from Thailand, a trip that indirectly pushed him to finally finish a piece he had long set aside.
Emotionally, “April” also feels increasingly relevant for Arash. He sees many people around him going through loss in their lives, making the song’s message feel even more real, that acceptance doesn’t mean forgetting, but learning to make peace with what has happened.
“April” will be available starting April 24. This single is not just another new release, but also a space for listeners to process loss in a slow, honest, and accepting way.
