Bingkai Karya – STARGLOW is pushing its performance boundaries with “Slam Dunk,” released on 26 October 2026 as the latest pre-release single from the five-member group’s upcoming debut album, “Aurora.” Combining energetic hip-hop sounds with some of the most challenging choreography the group has undertaken so far, the track showcases a more powerful side of STARGLOW, with dance crew RHT.’s ReiNa contributing to its intense stage performance.
Built around the theme of basketball, “Slam Dunk” represents determination, ambition, and the courage to overcome obstacles. Through its lyrics and overall concept, the track reflects the group’s desire to defy expectations and create its own future. Rather than simply celebrating victory, it captures the spirit of continuing to push forward despite the challenges along the way.
The music video further brings this concept to life through striking visuals. Against a city-night backdrop, the members perform atop a basketball hoop suspended high above the ground, creating a bold visual representation of reaching beyond one’s limits. The combination of dynamic movements, daring choreography, and elevated visuals complements the track’s energetic atmosphere, highlighting the group’s growing performance capabilities.
Beyond its latest release, STARGLOW is also preparing for another significant milestone with its first album, “Aurora,” scheduled to arrive on 18 November 2026. The album will feature 13 tracks, including previously released singles and individual member collaborations, offering listeners a broader look at the group’s musical identity.
Since making its debut in January 2026, STARGLOW has quickly established a growing presence in the music industry. The group became the only Japanese act included in NME’s “100 Artists to Watch in 2026.” Its second single, “USOTSUKI,” also achieved notable chart success, reaching No. 1 on Oricon’s Weekly Digital Single Ranking and No. 2 on the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100. By August 2026, the group had already held its first arena show, marking a significant achievement within its debut year.
The members have also expanded their creative presence through a collaboration with the world of League of Legends. STARGLOW members TAIKI, KANON, and ADAM covered “Live My Life,” originally performed by Riot Games’ virtual group HEARTSTEEL. The accompanying video offers a glimpse into their recording process and highlights the song’s refreshing message of living freely as oneself.
Looking ahead, STARGLOW will continue its journey into 2027 with “STARGLOW 1st Arena Tour 2027 ‘Aurora – The Dawn -’,” featuring 14 shows across seven cities in Japan. With an upcoming debut album and its first arena tour on the horizon, “Slam Dunk” captures the group’s determination to keep growing, challenging expectations, and reaching new heights.
