Reality Club Unveils the New Single “Desire (Horror Version)” for Halloween Release

Bingkai Karya-Over a year after Reality Club released their third album “Reality Club Presents…,” the award-winning alternative band has put out a new version of their song “Desire.” Called “Desire (Horror Version),” this version came out on October 31, 2024, just in time for Halloween. Produced by Reality Club and Wisnu Ikhsantama Wicaksana, it is available through Dominion Records on digital music platforms.

This isn’t a remix or rework; it’s a fresh take on the original with a haunting new string arrangement created by Chicha Adzhari and performed by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, known for working on other songs from Reality Club’s third album. Faiz, who wrote “Desire,” shared that this version gives off a spooky, intense vibe, more fitting as a horror movie soundtrack. Originally, this was the first version of the song, but it felt too intense for what they envisioned at the time. Now, just in time for Halloween, they’re excited to release it.

The “Horror Version” comes with an animated video on Reality Club’s YouTube channel. Directed by Arya Satriaputra, the video was inspired by the “Undead Nightmare” DLC from the game Red Dead Redemption. Arya incorporated effects inspired by old horror films, like grainy textures, with help from 3D editor Bayu Marlin.
