Rema had released an album entitled “Rave & Roses” together with his first solo track “Calm Down”. Rema established a combination of genre and influencing melody named Afrorave. (cashcofinancial.com) “Calm Down” was based on the sensation of finding love, chasing love, and heartbreak in the beginning of the journey.
““Calm down” is about the events that led me to finding love at the time. It started at a party where I saw a girl who stood out from other girls so I felt like shooting my shot. We spoke and danced… but her friends didn’t let me get any closer which killed the vibe, but afterwards when they weren’t there, we stayed in touch and hit it off,” said Rema.
Rema, or Divine Ikubor, is loved by the world these last 3 years because of his masterpieces so far. He became one of the big names internationally in the new wave of Afrobeats stars. With his debut album, Rema is ready to enter the new phase of his life. Not limiting his achievement, Rema also enrolled at the university to study Creative Arts.
Recently, Rema participated in FKA Twigs’ project named CAPRISONGS where he performed in the main single. “Jealousy” with other artists, including PA Salieu and The Weeknd.
