Revealing ‘Emotional Hoarding’ in Jinan Laetitia’s Latest Song entitled ‘Objects of Affection’

Jinan Laetitia, an eccentric pop musician from Bogor, has released her latest song titled ‘Objects of Affection.’ In this song, Jinan draws inspiration from her tendency to collect items and develop strong emotional attachments to them. She describes this as “emotional hoarding,” where someone finds it challenging to let go of an emotional connection to something that is no longer useful.

In her press release, Jinan explains the concept of the song and how it can also be applied to human relationships, such as toxic ones, bad habits, and others that are difficult to let go of even though they no longer serve a purpose. ‘Objects of Affection’ reflects a change in her musical style, with a more cheerful beat and vibe compared to her previous, edgier works.

Jinan, along with her producer Osvaldorio, created this song with the intention of providing something more cheerful to her listeners. The song is accompanied by lyric visuals that depict happiness through rotating illustrations, as if someone is dancing.

Jinan’s debut album released in 2022, ‘One,’ received widespread recognition. In this album, she wrote most of the songs herself and won the AMI Awards for Best Contemporary R&B Solo Artist for the single “Vanilla.” Her collaboration with Pamungkas on the song “Timeless” also received nominations.

In 2023, Jinan will perform on an international stage for the first time in Singapore. She feels blessed with this opportunity and is ready to deliver an outstanding performance with her bandmates, Dilasarah, Hilmi Gantara, and Antonio Geordano.

‘Objects of Affection’ is now available on various digital streaming platforms in Indonesia, and the official lyric video can be watched on Jinan Laetitia’s official YouTube channel. Jinan continues to create bold and inspiring works, solidifying her position as one of the most prominent and creative pop musicians in Indonesia.
