The initial idea for the song came from Desmon Latif, which later developed through emotions and concerns closely tied to Vionita’s real-life surroundings. The many stories of people becoming victims of emotional manipulation made the songwriting process feel more honest and deeply emotional. In terms of mood, “Ahli Bermain Cinta” delivers a powerful emotional spectrum, from confusion and heartbreak to anger when faced with painful truth. This is further emphasized by a more grand musical arrangement compared to Vionita’s previous releases.
During the creative process, Vionita collaborated with Andre Dinuth and Desmon Latif in writing the song. The arrangement features a full band concept that builds toward a strong climax, enhanced by distorted guitar elements that amplify the feelings of pain and anger. Vocally, Vionita, known for her husky and smooth tone, explores a more rounded and clean vocal color in this track to convey more honest emotions. One of the highlights of the song is the whistle note section, which required deeper vocal technique exploration during recording.
