Rita Ora Feels Vulnerable in ‘You Only Love Me’

Rita Ora started 2023 with a new single titled ‘You Only Love Me”. 2023 marks the start of a new era for one of the most successful British female artists of the 21st century. Written by Rita Ora and produced by Lewis Thompson, “You Only Love Me” is inspired by Rita Ora’s personal experiences of feeling vulnerable early in her romantic journey. Driven by love and passion, the song opens with a voice recording of Oscar and BAFTA award-winning filmmaker Taika Waititi. ‘You Only Love Me’ is an upbeat pop song that is guaranteed to accompany the love story of its fans and become a hit song all over the place in the coming months.

“You Only Love Me” is the first song lifted from Rita Ora’s forthcoming album – a deeply personal work that harkens to a new chapter in her life and career. The song is also Rita Ora’s first release since partnering with BMG, where the song master and artistic control on her work are owned by Rita Ora herself.

The official video for “You Only Love Me” was directed by acclaimed creative Charlie Sarsfield with suburban Los Angeles as the backdrop, this official video is one of Rita Ora’s favorite works ever. A mix of fictional wedding imagery through the lens of Stepford Housewives and Alice in Wonderland-style narration, this video features incredibly realistic scenes of a bride’s big day turning chaotic (with lousy bridesmaids, a burning place and more) and a surprise appearance from fairy godmother Sharon Stone saves the day.

Multi-platinum singer Rita Ora’s musical career has won awards with 13 UK Top 10 singles and four UK Number One singles. She holds the record for the most UK Top 10 singles by a British female artist. In the United States alone, Rita Ora’s hit singles and collaborations earned her a #3 Billboard Hot 100 song, a #7 Top 10 hit on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs Chart five of which reached #1 and a #6 Top 20 singles on the Hot Singles Chart Billboard’s Dance/Electronics.
