Sabrina Carpenter Reveals New Single “Vicious”

Sabrina Carpenter Released a new single entitled “Vicious” this July. She also unveiled the details of her most awaited album “Emails I Can’t Send”, a debut album under Island Records. The song “vicious” gives listeners a peek of the deeply personal songwriting and visceral, intense performances at the core of the album.

Acoustic guitar highlights her close intonation on the song as the pace gives way to an intense refrain. “Vision” combines a seductive dose of 21st-century vibes with 90s pop-rock songwriting.

“Sonically, you’re able to hear me really closely, and it’s  almost like I’m narrating the story to you,” said Sabrina Carpenter. “This song is really narrative and personal. It’s as if I’m having a conversation. We’ve all had experiences with people we love so deeply who turn out to be different than we thought they were. It’s a really painful realization to come to terms with. A lot of times, we focus on the other side of the healing process and fail to own up to uncomfortable feelings like anger and resentment. I don’t touch on that side of myself too often, but it’s a huge part of my story over the past couple of years, so I thought it was important to start there on “Vicious”.”

She recently earned recognition after she starred in the 2022 Sundance Film Festival’s world debut of EMERGENCY. She made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about the film and other forthcoming tracks.

Sabrina closed out 2021 with the single “Skinny Dipping.” It gained over 123 million Spotify streams and 26 million YouTube views. As soon as it got there, it took over the internet and topped the global Twitter trends. It received a lot of praise and was her first hit on the Billboard Hot 100. 

Millions of people have been captivated by Sabrina Carpenter’s talent as a singer, songwriter, actress, designer, producer, and fashion icon. She has consistently produced anthems in her music, both live and in the studio, receiving numerous gold certifications and playing to packed houses all over the world.  

Sabrina played the lead female character for the first time in the 2019 film The Short History of the Long Road, which received acclaim at its Tribeca Film Festival debut and won the Jury Award for “Best Performance” at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. Work It, a 2020 Netflix original series that launched at #1 on the service, also included Sabrina as the show’s lead actress and executive producer.

Sabrina made her Broadway debut the same year, playing the lead in Mean Girls. In Justin Baldoni’s Warner Bros. film Clouds (Disney+), she then played the lead role.
