Saudi Arabia: Indonesia Appreciated for Sending Largest Hajj Pilgrims

Indonesia is the top country in sending pilgrims with a quota of 229,000 people, followed by Pakistan 179,000 people and Bangladesh 127,000 people. The government of Saudi Arabia gives appreciation and appreciation to those three countries that send the largest pilgrims in the world. The award was given by Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Abdul Fattah Mashat in Jeddah and the Indonesian Consulate General for Hajj in Jeddah, Nasrullah Jasam attended as representative. 

Quoted from the Ministry of Religion website, “Last night, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah held an appreciation event in Jeddah for all agencies involved in the implementation of the 1444 H pilgrimage. Indonesia, Pakistan and Bangladesh, as representatives of the countries sending the largest pilgrims, received appreciation. I am here to represent Indonesia,” said Nasrullah in Jeddah. 

Appreciation was also given as a form of credit for the cooperation of the three countries with Saudi Arabia in the process of serving pilgrims. Especially when the congregation arrives and returns.

According to Nasrullah, Indonesia will earn the same prize in 2022. Indonesia, Pakistan, and India received prizes at the time. “This year, Indonesia again won an award, along with Pakistan and Bangladesh,” he remarked.
