SG Lewis is back with 2 new singles entitled “Missing You” and “Something About Your Love”. With its shimmering synths and neon bass line, “Missing You” aspires for dancefloor glory while paying homage to 80s new wave in timeless pop pleasure. This song demonstrates Lewis’ unequaled ability to take underground club music somewhere new and towards a new generation.
On the other hand, The Daft Punk-inspired song “Something About Your Love” features disco-style groove, funk bass hook, and drums from the 1970s. The refrain is dazzling. Both songs are timeless but incredibly modern, with one perfect for the high of your wildest night out and the other for the tranquil commute home at dawn.
“Conceptually, it felt like the perfect introduction. It’s a story about temptation and dwindling fear. Your eyes are wandering,” said SG Lewis explaining about “Missing You”.
On ‘Something About Your Love’, SG added, “It’s no secret I’m a massive Daft Punk fan. It’s the closest thing I’ve ever made to a tribute to them. I was listening to Discovery a lot, and there’s a specific technique to it. I chopped up the sample of these seventies keys and drums. It came together easily. Lyrically,It’s a pure confession of admiration for someone. It’s the perfect contrast to ‘Missing You’.”
As one of the music industry’s most in-demand producers, SG Lewis has worked with a number of notable artists, including Elton John, Clairo, Khalid, Aluna, Victoria Monet, Raye, Ray BLK, and many more.
Sam has sold out headline shows across the US, Asia, Australia and Europe as well as multiple festival appearances including prime-time slots at Coachella and Glastonbury.
