Indonesia celebrates the emergence of yet another remarkable female talent as Sheila Purnama, a well-known newscaster from one of Indonesia’s leading private television stations, makes her long-awaited debut in the music industry with the release of her debut single, “Tak Terikat.“
“Tak Terikat” is a poignant narrative that delves into the complex intricacies of love, particularly the heart’s choice to deceive itself when confronted with a love that remains unattainable. Sheila Purnama, who penned the lyrics herself, drew inspiration from the myriad of love stories that don’t always culminate in a fairy tale ending. This is a deeply personal project for Sheila, who has nurtured a passion for reading and composing poetry since her early years.
In the production of her debut single, Sheila collaborated with a talented team, including Uap Widya, who served as the composer and producer, and dionsjokoadi, a co-producer alongside Uap Widya and the arranger for this compelling track. The mixing was expertly executed by Andrew Setiawan, who also served as the editor, while the mastering was entrusted to the capable hands of Sinyo Drumboy.
