Stereo Wall Releases “Aku Mengerti” Prologue Version Music Video

Bingkai Karya – Indonesian indie pop band Stereo Wall has released a new music video for their song “Aku Mengerti” (I Understand). The song is from their 2023 album “Prologue”.

The music video, directed by Ilham Ramadhan, is inspired by Disney films. It features the band performing the song in a lavish setting, complete with orchestra accompaniment.

The song is about the pain of unrequited love. The lyrics tell the story of a man who is in love with a woman who does not return his feelings.

“The song is about someone who is in love with someone who doesn’t love them back,” said vocalist Cynantia. “It’s about the pain of being in that situation.”

The band members said that they wanted to create a different feel for the music video than the original version.

“We wanted to create a more luxurious and elegant feel,” said guitarist Rama. “We took inspiration from Disney films.”

The band also added orchestral accompaniment to the song.

“The idea to add orchestral accompaniment came from bassist Mamed,” said Cynantia. “We thought it would make the song sound more epic.”

The band said that they were nervous about releasing a remake of the song, but they are confident that they created a good product.

“We hope that people will like the new version,” said Cynantia. “We worked hard on it.”

The band also wanted to send a message with the song.

“Sometimes, it’s hard to tell the difference between being aware and being patient,” said Cynantia. “We need to be aware if someone doesn’t love us back and we’re not right for them. There will always be regret, but there will always be a silver lining.”
