Bingkai Karya – Indonesian pop girl group Super Girlies officially re-releases their iconic song “Aw Aw Aw” with a surprising new formation. The song is released as part of the SUPERGIRLIES GEN 1 REUNION project, marking the return of two original members, Dewi Hani Jayanti (Yui) and Opie, who were previously part of the group’s pioneer generation.
With Yui and Opie joining Kinanti, Mega, Sarah, and Laras, Super Girlies present a more mature musical identity. The new version of “Aw Aw Aw” carries the spirit of friendship, packaged with fresh arrangements and catchy beats in the style of Japan City Pop, a genre currently loved by today’s younger generation.
Starting September 5, 2025, “Aw Aw Aw” will be available on various digital music streaming platforms and radio stations across Indonesia. Alongside the release, an Official Lyric Video will also premiere, filmed in Bandung.
The visual concept of the video aligns with the artwork crafted by Ikeu and Erawan from Rocketroom Indonesia, maintaining an aesthetic that stays true to the Super Girlies character.
The creative process for this song involved all members of Super Girlies and musician Yerri Meiryan (T-Five) as co-writer. The arrangement was handled by Bandung-based musicians, while the vocal recording process was supported by Gege Gumilar, a widely recognized figure in Indonesia’s music industry.
Super Girlies hope that the new version of “Aw Aw Aw” will reach listeners across generations—both longtime fans and new audiences who may not yet be familiar with their work. With a more mature musical approach, the group is ready to introduce a fresh color to their musical journey.
