The 1975 is back with a new single entitled “Part of the Band” which is part of their upcoming album “Being Funny in A Foreign Language”. The album is the band’s 5th studio album and recorded at Real World Studios in the UK and Electric Lady Studios in New York.
The album will be out on October 14, 2022. It contains 11 tracks with “Part of the band” as one of them. The 1975, who were established in Manchester in 2002, have become recognized as one of the leading bands of their generation thanks to their distinct style, devoted following, and original aural approach.
The group’s last album, “Notes On A Conditional Form,” released in 2020, became their 4th straight No. 1 album in the UK and also peaked at No. 1 in Australia. After winning “Best Group” at the BRIT Awards in 2017 and 2019, the band was voted NME’s “Band of the Decade” in 2020.
At the 2019 ceremony, their third studio album, “A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships,” also took home the prize for “Mastercard British Album of the Year.”
The 1975 will perform live as the festival’s headliners during Summer Sonic 2022, which takes place in Tokyo and Osaka on August 20 & 21, 2022. The pre-order of “Being Funny in A Foreign Language” album is already available at the1975.com.
