Bingkai Karya– Charli xcx has landed the UK’s Official Number 1 album with her critically acclaimed album ‘BRAT’. The album, released in June, has also reached the top of the UK album chart with three singles in the Top 20: Sympathy is a knife (#7), Apple (#11), and 360 (#20).
The new version of the album features reimagined takes and innovative reworks of tracks from ‘BRAT’ featuring artists such as Julian Casablancas, Bon Iver, The 1975, Shygirl, Ariana Grande, and Caroline Polachek.
To celebrate the release of “Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat”, Charli unveiled an immersive sonic sculpture at Storm King Arts Center in New York State. The album was nominated for the Mercury Prize 2024 and ‘Guess featuring Billie Eilish’ debuted at Number 1 on the UK Official Singles Charts in August.
Charli is currently on the road with longtime collaborator Troye Sivan for their acclaimed co-headline US arena tour ‘Charli xcx & Troye Sivan Present: Sweat’, which stops in San Diego before finishing in Seattle next week. She will then embark on her biggest ever UK headline shows in November and December before headinglining Australia’s Laneway Festival in February 2025.
In addition to her new album, Charli has been working on multiple film and TV projects, including the Barbie soundtrack contribution ‘Speed Drive’ and co-executive producing the score for the A24 film ‘Mother Mary’ with Jack Antonoff. She will star in the Daniel Goldhaber remake of 1978 horror film ‘Faces of Death’ and Greg Araki’s erotic thriller ‘I Want Your Sex’.
