An Up-And-Coming Canadian Artist Samantha Ebert Releases Her First Single “Flowers”

Samantha Ebert

Bingkai Karya– A rising Canadian musician tells about the journey that has brought her to this point, and her first track, “Flowers,” has already had over a million plays.

On April 19, 2024, Ottawa-based Samantha Ebert’s debut single, “Flowers,” was published. Since then, the song has gained popularity on Canadian radio, reaching the top 10 on both the country’s and Canadian Christian radio charts in July. Ebert claimed that writing it wasn’t challenging because it was an honest prayer in which he asked God for direction. “I didn’t know how many people would hear the song when I released it to the world; I just went for it.” After it was released, the song started to show a little more vulnerability.

Ebert confined herself to her room for over 70 days, according to some of the song’s lyrics. Ebert explains the cause of that.”Last fall, I contracted Lyme illness, which left me bedridden for almost four months. All I could do was sit in my room and compose music every day. Those were long, difficult days”

Ebert’s Experiences

Although Ebert still experiences certain Lyme disease symptoms, she claims that they are now easier to control.

“I didn’t see the whole as a whole, but I was able to get through it every day. I pray a lot, spend time with people, and take things day by day. On the bad days, I try to find the positive. I like to think of the flowers as role models because I’ve been through a challenging time myself. If I hadn’t experienced something challenging, I wouldn’t have had the chance to develop personally or in my relationship with God.I began to see those blooms more frequently each day.”

Ebert can be followed on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok by anyone who want to hear more from her, including upcoming new music.

“It’s incredible to watch how God can take something so traumatic and turn it into something positive and hopeful. Painful, put it to good use, and provide others who are going through difficult times hope.”
